The G spot is part of the clitoral network, so "spot" is a bit of a misnomer. When you’re stimulating the G spot, you are actually stimulating part of the clitoris, which is much larger than we’re led to believe. The pea-sized nub where the inner labia meet is only the tip of the clitoris and divides into two “roots” that can be about 4 inches long.
This region can vary from person to person, which explains why it can often be difficult to locate. However, once stimulated, the G spot can cause squirting (yes, it’s real, more on that below) and help reach vaginal orgasm.
It’s relatively uncommon for people with a vagina to orgasm through intercourse alone. And according to a 2017 study, only about 18% of women achieve orgasm through penetration alone — meaning no hands, mouth, or toys needed.
As the incredible Dr. Laurie Mintz shared recently, only about 2% of women masturbate to orgasm exclusively with penetration, so it's pretty interesting that society widely expects vulva-owners to orgasm during intercourse, isn't it?
More often than not, clitoral stimulation is required, or at least beneficial, when it comes to orgasming during sex. However, even if you haven’t experienced an orgasm from vaginal penetration, that doesn’t mean it’s impossible. Some believe the G spot may be the key to vaginal orgasm during penetration.
How can you find it?
I do a deep dive on this in my Pleasure Seekers group. Request to join and watch the replay for all of the juicy details. But here are a few tips:
Start with self-exploration. Once you have located it on your own, you will recognize the unique sensation it creates.
Relax, explore your body, do what feels best for you.
Take all the time you need to get fully aroused. The more aroused you are, the more the G-Spot swells and becomes easier to locate.
If possible, enjoy a clitoral orgasm (or several) before you start looking for the G-Spot.
Massage the opening to your v*gina before inserting fingers or a toy.
Using your fingers or a toy, lift upward toward your belly button in a “come hither” motion.
Repeat the motion as the sensation builds, and — instead of an in-and-out movement — experiment with keeping your attention focused on this internal area.
How to know when you’ve found it
When you do find it, it may surprise you, because it can feel like a sudden, intense urge to urinate. Maybe this happened and you got out of bed and ran to the bathroom, only to discover that you could urinate at all, and so you were quite confused.
As a matter of sexual health, you should always urinate before and after sex to help prevent UTIs, but this also gives you peace of mind to know you have an empty bladder.
Next time, if you feel that urge to urinate, now you know what it is, work through that minor discomfort (if you have pain, that’s different) and keep doing WHATEVER You are doing, same rhythm, same position and then you will most likely experience a G-Spot Orgasm.
What to expect when you experience a G-Spot Orgasm
I’ve heard many different descriptions, from “my soul left my body” to “an earthquake that felt like it would never end.” Each person’s experience is different, but generally most people report a very powerful sensation that is different from a clitoral orgasm.
You may also experience female ejaculation. When a man ejaculates it can be up to 2 tablespoons of fluid. When a woman ejaculates it can be up to 2 full CUPS of fluid. This happens with clitoral orgasms too, but seems to occur more often with G-Spot.
What is female ejaculate?
It is not urine, though sometimes it does contain some urine or uric acid. It comes from the Skeins gland, which produces a fluid that is chemically similar to seminal fluid. Anatomically, this is similar to the male prostate. It is completely normal. This may be something that you experience occasionally, frequently or never. Everyone’s body is different, so however your body reacts is completely normal.
What are some must haves for G-Spot exploration?
A great lubricant. Whether you prefer a gentle water based, a longer lasting silicone based, or (my fav) best of both worlds hybrid, I recommend using this to protect your vaginal tissues and keep things slippery and comfortable.
There are different types of G-Spot enhancer gels that contain ingredients (my fav is L-Arginine) that increase blood flow. I recommend applying them to a toy and let the toy rub it in. As the blood flow increases to the area, it will swell more and become easier to find.
G-Spot Toys are a wonderful way to explore this area. You want a toy with a curve. Catch the replay to see how to use them and see a few options. I have NEW G-Spot toys coming in soon!
Splash Blanket - I cannot speak highly enough of this, its a 100% waterproof, soft and comfortable blanket that looks like any couch throw. Holds up to 1L of liquid. Rather than dealing with soaking towels or sleeping in a dry spot, this is amazing. Machine and dryer washable. Sex, kids, pets, anything that might leave a spill, this is incredible. I prefer to keep one for the bedroom and another for family use :)

Most importantly, find what works for YOU!
Like other erogenous zones, preferences can vary from person to person. A 2016 review emphasized that orgasms are not one-size-fits-all, so there’s no right or wrong way to orgasm.
Not everyone will find satisfaction through G-spot stimulation, and that’s fine too. Remember that masturbation is a completely normal and healthy way to feel good in your body. By taking time to explore your preferences, you can also use that information to instruct your partner on what you enjoy most during sex.
Despite what you might see in movies, sex isn’t always quick and easy. Often, we are led to believe that sex is shameful, which can make it harder to achieve orgasm and sexual satisfaction.
Don’t be afraid to take charge of your sex life and find what you like. If that means you can find your G spot and rock it, good for you. If not? That’s great too. No rule says there’s one way to orgasm, and — for most people with internal genitals — it’s OK to prefer a combination of efforts. Finding what works for you can take time, so be patient.
The most important thing is that you’re satisfied. Exploring your body and your sexual preferences is a great step in making sure you have a happy, safe, and pleasurable sex life. You should never feel ashamed of figuring out what you like. After all, everyone deserves to have great sex.

She is able to clarify your issue, meet you right where you are, and skillfully gives you next steps that are just enough of a challenge but not too much of a stretch. She is a wealth of knowledge and there is huge benefit to working with her.
I can't thank you enough for the time and attention you have provided. You gave me some really great insight and ways to explore my sexuality and to become more confident in myself while partaking in this journey. You helped me come out of my shell in order to express my desires, likes, and dislikes to my partner. I feel more secure in who I am and what I can be/do. I could not have learned how to be more expressive, confident and positive about myself as a person and in the bedroom with my partner without your support and coaching.
